I am curious of the average networth of H1Bs excluding their parent's money. The money they just made so far. Not sure how to start a new thread. I read somewhere online there are lot of H1Bs who are working for 10 years are almost millionaires. Can they use their accumulated wealth to do an investment based green card.

An individuals income and their net worth is their personal information. I don't think you will get more info on this (that too in a public forum).

Dear All,

I saw your website & thought may be you guys can help me solving my query about H1 transfer. I am holding a H1B valid till 2009. A month back a new company had filed a H1 transfer & I started working for them. Now I have 2 paystubs from this new company & I am getting a very good offer from another company & I would like to go for this offer. So my question is on the basis of these two recent paystubs can I get my visa transferred to the 3rd company while another visa transfer is in progress?

Well it is not a significant change but dates have moved by a week for EB3 I I know its no where near enough for the category but hey there is some movement. There has been a neet 4 month movement for EB3 C and some of M as well. now all EB3 other than india are at same cut off date.

We need to work towards visa recapture thats the only thing that can help EB3 I.

Even if your status changed to H1 in October 2004 and you started working in November 2004 for a second employer following approval for that employer, I would say it is just 30days and would not be an issue in future GC application. Don't worry about it.

What do you mean by that. Is she going to file green card in future?She did not say that. May be she wants to go back to her native country once H1 expires.Am I right? H1 visa are given to stay here temporarily for 6 years not to get green cards.First husbands get green cardsm then spouses get green cards, then their parents and in-laws get green cards. This is why lot of primary H1 people are stuck in the line for past 8-9 years without promotions,salary hikes,buying homes. I tried what u suggested but after entering the sequence number I tried pressing 3 midway but USCIS said invalid selection and said the call is being terminated.

Boy they look really pissed.

So much for customer service.

It took 8 months for the paper work,running ads etc.
It was filed on Nov 9th and my HR got approval on Jan 5th.

EB3 and EB2 from same Company.

Do you have 3 years bachelors Or 4 years Bachelors + MS? I have 3 years bachelors and 8 years of experience with same employer and 15+ years experience in same field. Am I eligible to port from Eb3 to Eb2? How much is cost invloved approx?

Agree with Jonty on checking at http://infopass.uscis.gov...

I needed to confirm my address change.. called uscis and I was told they can't see any personal info... basically read me my status on website and a long boring standard message.. saying you are within the normal processing dates and blah blah... Bottom line I was suggested to take infopass.. so I took.. Its my first infopass appt ever and it was very easy... shown me 2 dates avaialable for Aug (nothing in July).. So I pick one and then was asked to pick a time...

I selected as a follow up on pending case...

Hopefully they'll process my AOS before that :-)

EB2-I June 2004... PD current, RD current per both NSC/TSC...
Case filed at NSC and transferred to TSC (July 23, 2008)
Keeping my fingers crossed per 50-50 probability theory :-)

My husband and I are working on H1B visa.My husband has filed for Green card..

Now my question is at what stage in my husdband's Green card process, will I be eligible for the visa extension
if 6 years on H1B are over??

If I also file for the green card, I get labor cleared and just in case I lose the job.Then what options I have
for visa extension?If I join another company do I have to have again labor cleared to get additional visa extension
at the completion of 6 year?what happens to priority date,can I use earlier GC filing priority date?

hi,
I've got my L1A visa valid till MARCH 2010 with company A. Meanwhile my H1B VISA got approved thru company B for this year.i would like to continue in my L1(company A) for few months until i find a suitable project with the employer who processed my H1(company B).
how long can I continue in my L1 status
a)if it is a fresh H1B ?
b)if the H1 is a "change of status"?
c)what can i do if i need to retain L1A VISA status for the period after the Change of Status happens ?

SO, lets say my company applies for me to h1b cap sometime after october 1, if by chance the cap is reached by the time we apply, and if my application gets rejected for this reason, am I still be eligible to apply and re-do everything for next year? if the cap is reached by late october or november lets say and if i get rejected for this, then can I do all this again on april 1 2011.

I worked for company A as a full time employee from May 21st,07 to July 11th,08 and then company B filled my H1B transfer on June06th,08 and I joined company B on June 17th, 08 as a full time employee.

So there is a overlap, I mean I worked for company A and Company B as a Full time employee from June 17th,08 - July 11th,08 and got full time salary from both of these companies.

1. So will it be a issue, if companyB or some other company sponsers me a Green card in future?

2. Can I use the experience letter issued by the CompanyA for Green Card purposes? If not then shall I mention to my attorney/Company who will sponser me Green card that I worked for companyA till June 16th,08 and there is no overlap.

I have applied for extension for 3 years.

Hello experts,
Here is a situation of my friend .
1.He lost his and his wife's passport alongwith the receipt notices and FP notice.The current visa which has expired and I-94 is also lost.
2.The lost passport includes the old passport with old visa in it.

Can you please throw some light as to what are his options.
